Your excursion begins with a visit to the medieval castle of Limassol. It tells the story of the Middle Ages and the events that took place in Cyprus at that time. According to legend, the wedding of the English King Richard the Lionheart and Princess Berengaria of Navarre, who was subsequently crowned Queen of England, took place here in 1191.
In the center of the old town, not far from the Old Port, you can stroll through the picturesque narrow alleys, drink Cypriot coffee, and buy souvenirs.
After leaving Limassol, you will continue your journey and pass the citrus plantations of Fasouri before reaching another medieval attraction – the Crusader castle of Kolossi, which was built at the beginning of the 13th century by the King of Cyprus, Hugh I of Lusignan.
Near Kolossi Castle lies a true paradise – a beautiful orange grove where you can pick fruit and enjoy fresh juice.
Next, you will head to the beaches of Kourion. You will have plenty of time to rest, swim in the sea, and enjoy excellent Mediterranean cuisine at a beach restaurant.
After relaxing, you will explore the ancient city of Kourion. While walking through the famous Greco-Roman amphitheater, you will feel the atmosphere of the Roman era up close.
