Tranquility on the Costa Brava

Tranquility on the Costa Brava
Vacation Vacation on the Costa Brava

Costa Brava (Wild Coast) The Costa Brava is the northernmost region of Catalonia, which affects the travel season – it is relatively short and lasts from about July to September. The coast is washed by the Mediterranean Sea. The closer to France, the larger the pebbles; the closer to Barcelona, the finer the gravel and the steeper the entry into the water.

The most popular cities:

Tossa de Mar: – quiet, picturesque town – divided into the old town (historical part) and the tourist district – not to be classified as “cheap”

Pineda de Mar: – relaxed vacation, ideal for families – consists of a historical center and a tourist beach promenade – wide beaches, coarse sand

Lloret de Mar: – 65 km from Barcelona – most popular and largest city on the Costa Brava – lively and active – coarse-grained, golden sand – one of the cheapest travel destinations in Spain

Santa Susanna: – wide beach zone – very fine gravel – well-developed tourist center – excellent for family vacations

Blanes: – 60 km from Barcelona – southernmost resort of the Costa Brava – quiet, family-friendly resort – every year at the end of July, one of Spain’s most spectacular events takes place here – the fireworks festival
