Afterwards, the encounter with Indian culture continues in Varanasi. This “Eternal City” was a center of civilization and knowledge for more than two thousand years. The holy city on the banks of the Ganges is considered one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites. It is a favorable place for the transition to the other world and is said to offer a direct path to heaven. Varanasi, with its material chaos and spiritual purity, breaks expectations, changes consciousness, and forces reflection. This is followed by Khajuraho – a thousand-year-old temple complex, world-famous as the temples of the Kama Sutra. Here you will experience the atmosphere of medieval India, far from city life.

Namaste! Welcome to India, a country full of diversity, culture, history, and nature. Group meeting at the airport. Transfer for breakfast and then continue to Jaipur. Arrival and check-in at the hotel, time to rest.
In the evening, visit the Lakshmi Narayan Temple, built of white marble. Participation in the evening ceremony (depending on the time of the Puja). On the way back, a photo stop at the Albert Hall Museum from 1876, originally built as a concert hall and architecturally modeled after the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Overnight in Jaipur.
Jaipur, the “Pink City,” was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. The city was protected by walls and divided into nine rectangular sectors – unique for its time. Jaipur impresses with colors, markets, and culture and is famous for jewelry and textiles.
After breakfast, drive to Amber Fort, the old capital of the Rajputs. Ascent by elephant or jeep. Continue to the city tour: visit the City Palace of the Rajputs, the remarkable astronomical facility Jantar Mantar from 1728, a photo stop at the Jal Mahal (Water Palace), and a visit to the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds).
Visit a jewelry workshop and a textile factory where visitors can try on traditional saris. Lunch. In the evening, visit the Galtaji Temple, a complex of sanctuaries, pools, and natural springs – famous for its monkey colonies.
Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 3 – Jaipur – Abhaneri – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra (240 km – approx. 5 hours)
Breakfast and drive to Agra. On the way, visit Abhaneri with the fascinating stepwell Chand Baori from the 9th century – one of the deepest and oldest in the world. Over 3500 steps lead 13 stories deep. Visit the Harshat Mata Temple from the 7th–8th century, now an archaeological site. Lunch.
Continue to Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned capital of the Mughal Empire, built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century and abandoned shortly thereafter. The city has remained almost unchanged to this day. In the evening, arrival in Agra, check-in, free time. Overnight.
Visit the Taj Mahal – closed on Fridays –, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, built in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a monument of eternal love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Afterwards, visit the Red Fort, residence and fortress of the Mughal emperors for four generations.
Visit a marble workshop, lunch. Then visit the mausoleum of Akbar the Great in Sikandra and the Itmad-ud-Daula – also called the “Baby Taj.” Overnight in Agra.
Transfer to the train station and train journey to Varanasi. Arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the evening, participate in the Ganga Aarti ceremony at the ghats – one of the most important Hindu rituals. Overnight.
Early morning visit to the ghats and boat trip on the Ganges at sunrise. Visit the Vishwanath Temple (from outside), Bharat Mata Temple, and Banaras Hindu University. Return for breakfast.
Visit Sarnath – the place where Buddha gave his first sermon. Visit stupas, the Ashoka Pillar, and excavations. Continue to Khajuraho, check-in, overnight.
Visit the temples of Khajuraho (UNESCO), famous for their elaborate erotic sculptures and scenes from the Kama Sutra. Once there were 85 temples, today 22 remain. Visit the Raneh Falls and the Ken Gharial Sanctuary (open seasonally). Transfer to the train station, train journey to Delhi, dinner on the train, overnight in Delhi.
Visit the Qutb Minar, the Jain temple Ahimsa Sthal, the Lotus Temple (Bahai), drive through Old Delhi with a view of the Red Fort and Jama Masjid. Visit Raj Ghat, Birla Temple, and a Sikh Gurudwara. Continue past India Gate, Parliament, and the Presidential Palace. Lunch.
Finally, visit the Akshardham Temple with a music and laser show (Sahaj Anand Water Show). Around 10:00 PM, transfer to the airport. End of the trip with unforgettable impressions.
