Welcome to the land of the first civilization. You arrive in Delhi – the capital of India. Greeting at the airport by the company representative. Meeting point for the group at Exit No. 5 / Pillar No. 14. Stop for breakfast and a short break. Transfer to Jaipur. After arrival, check-in and rest.
In the evening, visit the Lakshmi-Narayan Temple, built of marble in 1985, and attend the evening ceremony (no guarantee, as times vary). On the way back to the hotel, you will pass the Albert Hall Museum, where you can take great souvenir photos. The museum was built in 1876 and was originally intended as a concert hall. Architecturally, it resembles the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Overnight at the hotel.
Jaipur (the “Pink City”) was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Today it is the capital of the state of Rajasthan. The entire city was once surrounded by a wall to protect it from enemies and wild animals. Jaipur is divided into nine rectangular sectors – unique for that time. The city impresses with colors, markets, and handicrafts. It is known for jewelry and textile production.
After breakfast at 08:00 AM, drive to the old capital of the Rajputs – Amber. The ascent to Amber Fort is by elephant or jeep. Afterward, a tour through the Pink City with a visit to the City Palace and Jantar Mantar – an amazing astronomical observatory from 1728. You will see the Jal Mahal located in the water and the Hawa Mahal – Palace of Winds. Visit a jewelry factory and a textile factory, where women can take photos in saris.
Lunch at 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM. In the evening, visit the Galtaji Temple, famous for its sacred water pools and monkey colonies. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, departure to Agra. On the way, visit Abhaneri with the impressive Chand Baori stepwell from the 9th century – one of the deepest and oldest in the world, with over 3,500 steps and 13 levels. Next to it is the Harshat-Mata Temple (7th–8th century). Short photo stop. Lunch at 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM.
Continue to Fatehpur Sikri – an abandoned city from the 16th century, built by Emperor Akbar. The city was abandoned while still under construction and has remained almost unchanged for over 300 years. Arrival in Agra, check-in, free time, shopping. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, visit the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays). The mausoleum was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a declaration of love to his wife Mumtaz Mahal in the 17th century and is considered one of the 7 Wonders of the World.
Afterward, visit the Red Fort – once the residence of the Mughal emperors. Lunch at 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
Continue to the tomb of Akbar the Great in Sikandra and to Itmad-ud-Daula, also called “Baby Taj”. Return to Delhi, check-in at the hotel, and rest. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, visit the 72m high Qutb Minar and the rust-free iron pillar. Continue to the Jain temple Ahimsa Sthal. Then to the Lotus Temple, the Bahai House of Worship.
Afterward, Old Delhi from the 17th century awaits you: panorama of the Red Fort and the Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India. Visit Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Continue to the Birla Temple and the Sikh temple Gurudwara.
Panoramic tour through New Delhi with India Gate, Parliament, and President’s Palace. Lunch at 2:30 PM.
Finally, visit the impressive Akshardham Temple with a light, music, and laser show (Sahaj Anand Water Show). Transfer to the airport.
